Here are some happy summer news. Below is a link to the announcement that the work to remove the Sindi dam in Pärnu river, Estonia has now started. This dam represents a barrier that many in CCB for a long time have been calling upon Estonia to remove and it is now actually happening. This will open up the river to the benefit of many species but not least the salmons. Calculations are stating that currently about 1% of the rivers potential is used..We will need to follow the project and see results but it is indeed a big and interesting project that can be used as example for many others.
